Picnic in the Park

A Picnic in the Park at Russell Square brought World Student Alliance members together for a relaxed afternoon of conversation, connection, and community. Set in the heart of London, the event offered students a chance to step away from academic routines and enjoy a shared experience in an informal outdoor setting.

The picnic provided an opportunity for members to meet fellow students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds while enjoying refreshments and the surrounding green space. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged open conversation, allowing participants to connect naturally and build friendships beyond formal events and discussions.

Alongside social interaction, the gathering also served as an introduction to the World Student Alliance for new members. Conversations about the Alliance’s mission, activities, and opportunities for involvement took place organically, helping students learn more about how they could engage with the community.
