Visit: Exploring Shakespeare’s Globe

A visit to Shakespeare’s Globe brought World Student Alliance members together to explore one of London’s most significant cultural landmarks. The visit provided an opportunity to engage with the history of theatre and literature while sharing a cultural experience that extended beyond academic settings.

During the visit, members had the chance to experience a live performance of The Crucible, which complemented the wider exploration of the venue. Watching the play in this historic setting encouraged reflection on its central themes—justice, morality, and social responsibility—while also highlighting how theatre can powerfully convey social and political ideas across time.

The visit naturally led to conversation and exchange among members, as participants shared perspectives on the performance, the venue, and the continued relevance of theatre in shaping public thought. These discussions strengthened connections within our community and reinforced the value of cultural engagement as a shared learning experience.

This visit to Shakespeare’s Globe formed part of our wider programme of cultural activities for the year. As the World Student Alliance, we continue to organise events that combine exploration, reflection, and connection, encouraging students to engage with culture, history, and one another beyond the classroom.
